Job Description

As a Safety Officer at ib vogt GmbH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are met at solar project sites. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and enforcing safety practices, conducting safety audits and inspections, providing safety training, and fostering a strong safety culture within the organization. Your primary focus will be on safety monitoring and compliance. This involves overseeing that all work activities on-site adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting daily site inspections to identify potential hazards, and implementing safety measures to mitigate risks associated with civil and mechanical works on solar power projects. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all workers and subcontractors use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols. In addition to safety monitoring, you will be involved in safety training and awareness initiatives. This includes providing regular safety training sessions to employees, contractors, and site workers, conducting orientation programs for new workers, and promoting a safety-first culture across the project site. As part of your role, you will also manage incident management and reporting tasks. This involves investigating accidents, injuries, or safety incidents on-site, preparing detailed incident reports, and ensuring that all safety incidents are promptly reported to management and relevant authorities. You will also be responsible for conducting risk assessments, developing mitigation plans, and updating site-specific risk assessments regularly. Furthermore, you will be engaged in safety audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards and coordinate with external safety consultants and auditors. Emergency preparedness and response planning will also be part of your responsibilities, including developing emergency response plans, conducting drills, and ensuring emergency equipment is properly maintained. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A NEBOSH certification is highly preferred, along with 5-6 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the solar industry or construction sector. You should have in-depth knowledge of safety regulations, procedures, and standards related to the solar industry, strong technical skills, and proficiency in safety management software. Joining ib vogt GmbH will offer you interesting and challenging tasks in an international working environment with great opportunities for professional and personal development. You will be part of an open-minded, friendly, and highly motivated team, and receive competitive remuneration based on your experience.,
