Safety Officer

1. Safety Planning & Implementation

• Prepare and implement Site Safety Plan, HIRA/JSA, and emergency response procedures as per project needs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, client safety guidelines, and statutory norms.

2. Daily Site Inspections

• Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe conditions/acts.
• Issue non-compliance reports and ensure timely corrective actions.

3. Toolbox Talks & Safety Trainings

• Conduct daily/weekly toolbox talks.
• Provide induction training for new workers and refresher training for existing teams.

4. Monitoring High-Risk Activities

• Supervise working at height, hot work, heavy lifting, excavations, confined space entry, scaffolding, and machinery operations.

5. PPE Management

• Ensure proper PPE usage for all workers and maintain PPE inventory/issue records.
• Check quality and condition of PPE regularly.

6. Safety Documentation

• Maintain safety records: permits, training logs, induction, incident reports, near-miss reports, and safety meeting minutes.

7. Incident/Accident Investigation

• Lead investigations for incidents and near misses.
• Prepare detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions.

8. Coordination With Project Team

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices.
• Participate in client and internal review meetings.

9. Safety Signage, Barricading & Housekeeping

• Ensure proper signage, barricading, access control, and site housekeeping as per safety standards.

10. Statutory & Legal Compliance

• Ensure adherence to BOCW Act, labour safety norms, equipment fitness certificates, and contractor compliance documents.

11. Emergency Preparedness

• Conduct fire drills and emergency evacuation drills.
• Maintain fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and emergency contact lists.

12. Safety Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports for management and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
