As Purplle continues to expand its operational footprint with 13 warehouses and 16 dark stores across India, the importance of centralized and robust fire safety compliance has become critical. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic National Fire Safety Manager to lead our fire safety efforts at a national level. This role will ensure a consistent and proactive approach to fire prevention, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance across all locations. Key Responsibilities:- Ensure Uniform Compliance: Ensure adherence to all national, state, and local fire safety regulations, codes, and licensing requirements across all warehouses and dark stores. Mitigate Risk: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate fire-related risks to protect employees, inventory, and infrastructure. Centralize Expertise: Provide expert guidance and oversight on fire prevention systems, emergency preparedness, equipment maintenance, and incident response protocols. Enhance Safety Culture: Drive a strong safety-first culture by promoting awareness, preparedness, and compliance with fire safety norms throughout the organization. Compliance Licensing: Manage and track all necessary fire safety licenses and certifications. Ensure timely renewals and audits across all locations. Risk Assessments: Conduct regular site audits and fire risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Equipment Oversight: Oversee maintenance, testing, and functionality of all fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems in coordination with local teams. Training Drills: Develop and implement fire safety training programs and evacuation drills for warehouse and dark store staff. Incident Management: Lead investigations of fire incidents or safety breaches. Prepare reports and implement preventive actions. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with external agencies such as the Fire Brigade, local municipalities, and licensing authorities to ensure full legal compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field (preferred) Minimum 810 years of relevant experience in fire safety management across multi-location facilities In-depth knowledge of national and state fire safety regulations and standards Strong leadership and communication skills Note: This is a critical leadership role intended to streamline and centralize fire safety governance across all operational sites. As a Research and Development (RD) Asst. Manger in Hair Care, you will play a pivotal role in the creation and testing of new hair care. You'll work closely with scientists, chemists, and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of lab processes and the development of innovative hair care range. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for cosmetics, and the ability to adhere to strict quality and safety standards. Responsibilities: Lab Operations: Execute laboratory experiments and procedures. This includes preparing hair care product, conducting/monitor stability tests, and performing quality control checks. Formulation Development: Create formulation basis product brief from the scratch to the finalization. Follow established protocols and document all experimental procedures and outcomes accurately. Ingredient Selection: Collaborate with RD team members to research and evaluate cosmetic ingredients for efficacy, safety, and regulatory compliance. Contribute insights on ingredient functionality and compatibility in formulations. Testing and Analysis: Conduct various tests and analyses to assess the performance, stability, and safety of cosmetic products. This may involve viscosity measurements, pH testing, microbial analysis, and sensory evaluations. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, formulation recipes, test results, and other relevant data. Prepare reports and presentations summarizing RD activities and findings for internal review and regulatory purposes. Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, ensuring proper calibration and functionality. Notify appropriate personnel of any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs. Compliance and Safety: Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to cosmetic formulation and testing. Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks in the laboratory environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetology, or a related field. Previous 4-6 years of experience in a hair care division, preferably from Loreal or Unilever. Strong understanding of cosmetic science, formulation principles, and ingredient functionality. Familiarity with laboratory techniques and instrumentation used in cosmetic analysis and testing. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment. This position will supervise & monitor all site conditions, manufacturing processes, industry initiatives, and continuously ensure adherence to EHS norms & protocols of the company and shall be the driving factor to implement the best and successful EHS practices in the company Location : Bangalore (Horahalli ) Generating and submitting compliance reports required by regulatory agencies. Maintain measurable key EHS performance indicators & trends. Conducts EHS training & orientation program for new joiners. Leads weekly & quarterly EHS meetings. Identify & drive the safety initiative Projects for the plant. Conduct periodic EHS walk-through inspections of all workplace facilities and report out. Maintain required EHS documents/files. Lead for FM Global audits and closure of recommendations. Conduct investigations into employee injuries, suggestions and complaints related to EHS and maintain the documents. Establish and monitor a program for reporting and investigating near-miss situations. Conduct Incident investigations and maintain the documents. Establish and maintain staff audits and report out findings monthly. Conduct at least 2 emergency preparedness mock drills in a year. Establish employee engagement programs and monitor the same. Maintain effective communication about EHS topics. Promote safety & environmental awareness and initiate programs to sustain the initiatives Preferred Qualifications & Skills A degree or diploma in Industrial Safety is recognized by the Karnataka State Government with 5 years of industry work experience.
