Safety Engineer - MEP Projects

As a Safety Officer for an MEP project, your role involves implementing and monitoring safety procedures at project sites. You will be responsible for conducting daily safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with statutory and company safety standards. Your key responsibilities include identifying potential hazards, recommending corrective measures, conducting toolbox talks, safety training, and induction programs for site workers. Additionally, you will ensure the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safe work practices, as well as maintain safety documentation such as incident reports, risk assessments, and permits to work. You will coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure safety compliance and investigate/report near-misses, accidents, and unsafe practices. Supporting management in implementing HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and continuous improvement initiatives is also part of your role. Qualifications Required: - Strong knowledge of construction and MEP safety standards. - Good communication and leadership skills. - Ability to identify hazards and take proactive actions. - Familiarity with safety audit tools and statutory regulations.
