What You Will Do You will assist our clients, get the most out of our software, and use the knowledge gained from these interactions to continuously enhance our software, we are searching for an experienced, imaginative, and bright application engineer to join our Mechanical Application Engineering Group. We are particularly aiming to expand our Mechanical Application Engineering team. This team assists our clients in using our GT-SUITE software platform to simulate the operation of electric motors, pumps, and compressors as well as whole 3-D vehicle systems and vehicle powertrains. Evaluate and resolve technical support requests submitted via email, phone, or other channels. Be the first line of defense in solving customer support requests and coordinating and prioritizing timely resolution independently and with the engagement of DevOps teams. Develop a comprehensive understanding of typical business challenges faced by customers and common objectives to appropriately map features and associated business benefits to address their needs. Serve as a customer advocate in shaping and driving the Drive Train &Vehicle Mechanics product roadmap, enhancements, and improvements; Conduct independent research aimed at designing and defining new software features and functionality. Facilitate customer trainings to ensure customer satisfaction and retention as well as maximum usage of our product. Identify trends and inefficiencies to enhance support processes and improve the user experience. Mentor, coach, and train new team members. Support of evaluation projects for potential new customers. Support of internal software development and validation of new models and features. Develop customer-tailored simulation workflows and methodologies using GT-SUITE. Participation in specialist conferences and working groups. What You Will Bring Masters degree in automotive, mechanical, process, aerospace engineering, etc. 3 years of work experience designing powertrains and/or engines, including measurement and instrumentation, and controls is highly preferred; entry level candidates are welcome to apply. Previous participation in SAE student competitions (g. Formula SAE, Formula Hybrid) or activities in similar societies or consortiums is also a benefit. Technical expertise in the following, used to support current and prospective customers: Gear Design Electrified Powertrains Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) Experience with the following: Transmission and geartrain applications, research, and/or commercial software tools (e.g., SABR, Romax, Masta, KISSsoft) Flexible Bodies and Finite Element methods and tools (e.g., Abaqus, Altair, Ansys, Nastran, FEARCE) 3-D MBD software (e.g., MSC Adams, Simpack) skills are an advantage Programming skills are an advantage (Matlab, Python, etc.) What we Can Offer You Dynamic and highly talented team of experts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a project where a global asset manager is transitioning from a third-party analytics stack to a greenfield, open-source valuation and risk engine for fixed income portfolios, including sovereigns, corporates, MBS/ABS, and interest rate derivatives. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with a team of quants to develop a new library in Python and C++ on top of QuantLib and Open Source Risk Engine (ORE). This will also include integrating the new system with the client's data and validating results against legacy outputs. As a qualified candidate, you are expected to: - Design modular pricing, curve-building, cashflow, and risk components using QuantLib / ORE and create Python bindings for desk-level analytics. - Implement and calibrate term structure, credit spread, and volatility models in high-performance C++ with unit-tested Python wrappers. - Develop loaders to ingest existing Numerix trade data and create regression tests to match PV, DV01, CS01, convexity, and Greeks within agreed tolerances. - Optimize critical routines using multithreading and caching techniques. - Integrate market data and set up infrastructure using Azure Kubernetes. The ideal candidate should possess: - A Masters or PhD in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related field. - At least 5 years of experience in building pricing or risk libraries for rates or credit products, with prior experience in Numerix, FinCAD, or in-house libraries being a plus. - Proficiency in expert C++17/20 for high performance and/or strong Python skills. - Hands-on experience with QuantLib (preferably with upstream contributions) and a working knowledge of ORE architecture, including skills in curve construction, bootstrapping, Monte Carlo simulations, finite-difference PDEs, and XVA concepts. - Familiarity with Azure CI pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and Git-centric workflows. The compensation for this position ranges from 40 to 50 lakhs per annum, along with benefits such as extended health care, dental care, and life insurance.,
