You will be responsible for owning the lifecycle of OpenShift clusters, both on-prem and in the public cloud. This includes tasks such as architecture design, provisioning, upgrades, patching, and ensuring high availability. Additionally, you will administer and support OpenShift Container Platform as well as other Kubernetes-based environments like EKS, AKS, and GKE. As part of your role, you will serve as the primary escalation point for complex incidents, ensuring root cause resolution and driving continuous improvement. You will oversee cluster-wide networking, storage integration, ingress/egress configurations, and ensure the secure exposure of workloads. In the event of incidents, you will lead incident response efforts, coordinate stakeholders, and conduct post-mortem reviews with precision. You will also assist in change management for container platform lifecycle events, which includes tasks such as OpenShift version upgrades, SysAdmin responsibilities, hotfix deployments, and feature enhancements. Your contribution to Airtel's Enterprise Container Strategy will involve identifying opportunities for performance optimization, availability improvements, and enhancing resiliency. In the realm of architecture, configuration, and automation, you will architect GitOps-driven CI/CD workflows using tools like Argo CD, Tekton Pipelines, AirFlow, Helm, and S2I. You will lead the implementation and optimization of monitoring and alerting systems using technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alert manager, and the ELK stack. Automation of operational processes using Python, Bash, and Ansible will be crucial to reduce manual toil and enhance system resilience. It will also be your responsibility to ensure configuration consistency using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Regarding security, compliance, and governance, you will define and enforce security policies including RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security Policies, and image scanning tools. Leading security assessments, remediation of vulnerabilities, and enforcing policies aligned with compliance mandates will be part of your duties. You will collaborate with the Information Security (InfoSec) teams to implement audit logging, incident response controls, and measures to harden containers. In the realm of networking, storage, and system integration, you will lead advanced OpenShift networking operations such as ingress controller tuning, multi-tenant isolation, MetalLB, hybrid DNS, service meshes (Istio), and egress control. Integration of persistent storage solutions like Ceph, SAN/NAS, and Object Storage using CSI drivers, dynamic provisioning, and performance tuning will also fall under your purview.,
