We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Head of Planning to lead end-to-end planning across our the supply chain. This role is pivotal in driving the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, shaping the growth strategy for our non-perishables business, and advancing automation initiatives in business planning cycle. The ideal candidate will bring deep planning expertise, strong analytical acumen, and a collaborative mindset to enable supply chain agility and support business expansion. Direct reports : 3-4 - Regional cluster planners - Other support team members JD : 1. S&OP Leadership Lead the cross-functional S&OP process across sales demand, supply, inventory, and logistics teams. Define & develop planning constraints, assumption and process around forecasting & production estimates and bring continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy. Collaborate with sales, procurement, production, and finance to ensure a balanced and responsive plan aligned with business goals. Develop scenario planning and demand-supply alignment mechanisms to handle market volatility at a day to day level. Drive dynamic supply/supply risk visibility among multiple stakeholders and support functions to take necessary business critical decisions. Inputs and backend planning to fuel the business growth plans. 2. Strategic Planning for Non-Perishables & value adds : Define and execute the long-term growth strategy for the non-perishables business segment. Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and operational capabilities to inform product mix ,inventory planning & potential for value adds. Identify and action out value-adds possibilities across locations to maximize revenue and minimize losses. Optimize supply chain design to support expansion in new categories and regions. 3. Data Automation & Digitization Lead initiatives to automate planning processes using modern tools and technologies (e.g., ERP, Advanced Planning Systems, Power BI, etc.). Drive the adoption of predictive analytics and data models for demand forecasting and inventory optimization. Partner with IT and data teams to implement dashboards, metrics, and alerts that improve visibility and decision-making. Key Skills: Strategic planning and budget management. Team leadership and stakeholder management. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and decision-making skills. Qualification & Experience: Bachelors / Master’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in planning, procurement, and project management in agri-business / FMCG. Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost optimization measures. Experience leading teams and managing multiple projects. The role requires 20% travel across the multiple hubs in the country and candidate should be open to it
