Job Description: Manager Procurement Location: Mumbai - Head Office Department: Supply Chain / Procurement Reports to: Chief Operating Officer -RV Group Role Overview The Manager - Procurement will be responsible for developing and managing strategic sourcing initiatives, vendor partnerships, and third-party manufacturing (TPM) to ensure uninterrupted supply, cost optimization, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires expertise in procurement, contract management, and vendor relationship management within the pharmaceutical industry. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Sourcing & Partner Selection Identify, evaluate, and onboard third-party manufacturers based on quality, capacity, cost, and compliance criteria. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet business objectives and ensure continuity of supply. Lead RFP/RFQ processes for new or existing product categories. Negotiate long-term agreements, pricing structures, and performance metrics with suppliers. 2. Vendor & Contract Management Establish clear contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers and manufacturing partners. Manage ongoing supplier relationships to ensure adherence to company standards, cost targets, and delivery timelines. Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to maintain quality and compliance. Drive supplier development programs to enhance efficiency, cost competitiveness, and innovation. 3. Cost Management & Optimization Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation. Collaborate with finance and production teams to manage budgets and forecast procurement spend. Track market trends, raw material prices, and logistics costs impacting procurement decisions. 4. Quality, Compliance & Risk Management Work with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to ensure supplier compliance with GMP, ISO, FDA, and other standards. Develop risk mitigation strategies, including alternative sourcing and contingency plans. Ensure procurement practices follow ethical sourcing and sustainability policies. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with R&D, production, logistics, and marketing teams to align supply chain capabilities with business needs. Support new product launches and process improvements through effective supplier coordination. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field (MBA preferred). 5 to 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or contract manufacturing (preferably in pharmaceuticals). Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools. Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards (GMP, ISO, HACCP, etc.).
