As a Database Engineer 20, Infrastructure DBA at our Hyderabad, India location, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team supporting a diverse multi-platform databases environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient technical infrastructure of both on-premises and cloud databases, utilizing appropriate tools within a DevOps framework. You will collaborate closely with a small team of skilled professionals to manage databases across a global enterprise. You will report directly to the Sr. Manager of the Database Infrastructure product team and will be required to work in shifts, including on-call support with after-hours and weekend responsibilities. Your key responsibilities will include developing and supporting MongoDB databases, optimizing performance, capacity planning, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining system availability and scalability. Additionally, you will be involved in database design for new applications, automation of deployments and updates, and documentation of systems and processes. In this role, you will play a vital part in building collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including customers, employees, business colleagues, and external partners. You will provide guidance to software developers on best practices for enhancing performance, scalability, and operational manageability of production databases. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in creating runbooks for vendor partners and service providers, enforcing standards, policies, and procedures, and fostering a unified approach to database management. To be considered for this position, you should have a minimum of 8 to 11 years of experience in database administration, specifically for MongoDB versions 3.6 or above. Your expertise in MongoDB, coupled with your ability to troubleshoot complex database and application issues, will be crucial in ensuring the success of our database infrastructure.
