Seeking a CAD Designer with experience in the rugs, carpets industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for design, color and detail and be proficient in creating accurate design files for hand-tufted, hand-knotted or machine-made rugs.
Job Summary: We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Design Intern to support our carpet and rug design team. The intern will assist in developing innovative designs, color palettes and textures for our upcoming collections, contributing to both conceptual and production stages. This role offers hands-on exposure to the design and manufacturing processes within the textile and flooring industry. Key Responsibilities: Assist in concept development for new carpet and rug collections. Create design sketches, patterns, and colorways using design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, NedGraphics, or similar). Support the team in preparing mood boards, trend research, and material references. Collaborate with the product development team to translate design concepts into production-ready files. Contribute to innovation projects , exploring new textures, weaves, and sustainable materials. Qualifications & Skills: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors/Masters in Textile Design or Fine Arts. Strong sense of color, texture, and pattern composition. Basic knowledge of carpet weaving techniques or interest in textile construction. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or equivalent design tools.
