Job Title: Industry Coordinator—Client Relationship & Business Development Location: Across India : Agra, Kanpur, Vadodara, Mumbai, Pune, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, etc Experience: 3+ years from the industry / training partner / institute Reporting To: Head – Industry Engagement , Rubber, Chemical, Polymer Skill Development Council (RCPSDC) Role Summary: The Industry Coordinator will serve as a strategic liaison between RCPSDC and industrial stakeholders across key Rubber, Chemical, and Polymer MSME clusters in India. This individual will drive industry engagement, advocate short-term upskilling programs, mobilize candidates for government and private funded projects, and secure industry endorsements for RCPSDC’s skilling frameworks. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in business development, candidate mobilization, client engagement, program advocacy, and stakeholder management - preferably from an industry association/ NGO / education institute / industry professional /Training Partner. Key Responsibilities: Identify and map key MSME and large-scale players within assigned industrial clusters. Regularly visit manufacturing units, plant heads, and HR/Training leads to introduce RCPSDC’s paid short-term training programs, Recognition of Prior Learning, and National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme initiatives. Tie up with higher education institutes, Polytechnics, ITIs and schools to promote RCPSDC skill courses under paid model. Build and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers across companies and serving as primary point of contact for cluster-specific industries regarding RCPSDC offerings. Proactively pitch RCPSDC’s short-term paid training courses, including modules on Sustainability, Circular Economy, and Chemical Safety. Collaborate with internal curriculum and training teams to align programs with real-time industry needs. And Coordinate with industry experts and associations to review and validate courses (QPs) developed by RCPSDC Represent RCPSDC at industry events, exhibitions, seminars, and government/industry forums in the region. Industry / Academic Partnership & Candidate Mobilization is the main KPI for this position. Key Skills & Competencies: Mobilization and registration of candidates to participate in paid and funded programs. Deployment of project at the grass root level. Business Development: Strong commercial acumen, with experience in pitching skill training programs to the industry clients or academic institutes. Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in manufacturing environments, e.g. footwear, cement, paints, industrial glass, toys, rubber products, plastic products, chemicals, etc.e.g. footwear, cement, paints, industrial glass, toys, rubber products, plastic products, chemicals, etc. Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to create proposals, pitch decks, and presentations. Analytical Mindset: Ability to assess industry needs, interpret data, and draw actionable insights. Qualifications: Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or equivalent. 3–8 years of experience in business development, preferably in industry associations, skill councils, or in other roles. Prior exposure to working in an industrial cluster , Skill India, PMKVY, NAPS, or NSDC-aligned initiatives is an added advantage.
