You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing Manufacturing Software Systems at First Solar. Working closely with the MES architect, you will ensure that solutions seamlessly integrate with MES hardware and software systems to align with enterprise design goals. Your role will involve providing support for First Solar's Manufacturing Systems, R&D, and Quality systems, as well as data architectures. To qualify for this position, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in IT or a related field. Additionally, you should have at least 3+ years of experience in software development teams utilizing Microsoft .NET technologies, with a preference for 2+ years of experience interfacing with manufacturing control systems, shop floor automation systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), or OPC data transfer. Your key skills should include expertise in solution design and development based on multi-tiered architecture using C#, XAML, ASP.NET, and JavaScript. You should also have proven experience in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL development, large volume data processing, and maintenance. Familiarity with Test Driven Design Development technique, software development life cycle, Agile teams, change management processes, and version control packages is essential. Desired skills for this role include experience with Azure DevOps, Git, YAML, and deploying via Pipelines, as well as familiarity with Service Fabric, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Angular, and AngularJS. Experience with interfacing Allen Bradley Logix PLCs and RSLinx software, integrating manufacturing hardware and 3rd party software systems, and Windows mobile applications, Digital Transformation, and Industry 4.0 would be advantageous. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will design and develop new software systems and enhance existing ones for First Solar's manufacturing operations in a fast-paced and agile development environment. You will actively participate in solution design, analyze various solutions and technology options, and enforce software development best practices and quality standards. Your role will also involve integrating and configuring shop floor systems, providing support for Manufacturing Systems, investigating software-related issues, and producing technical documentation. As a part of the Global MES team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across different geographical zones, take ownership of tasks, mentor team members, and contribute to problem-solving and exploring alternate technology approaches. Effective communication, team building, and adherence to SDLC processes, safety procedures, and compliance standards are essential aspects of this role. This full-time position is based at Plot No.A-1/1 SIPCOT Industrial Park, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, 602105, IN, and follows a normal shift work schedule in India.,
