Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js to join our growing development team. As a core backend engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable server-side applications and APIs that power modern web applications. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Node.js Design and implement RESTful APIs Collaborate with frontend developers, QA and product teams to deliver end-to-end features Integrate third-party services and APIs Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and security Implement authentication and authorization solutions (e.g., JWT, OAuth) Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers Maintain thorough documentation of code and systems Required Skills: Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Node.js Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and design patterns Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node frameworks Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript Experience with databases both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis) Good understanding of API security, performance optimization, and scalability Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker and Kubernetes) Working knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean) Nice to Have: Experience with microservices or serverless architecture Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) Unit and integration testing Understanding of DevOps practices and monitoring tools Exposure to Agile development methodologies
