Roles & Responsibilities: Regarded as a Subject Matter Expert within construction industry and shares knowledge Make recommendations on internal department procedures, make SOPs Review associates engagement deliverables (such as tax returns, work papers, etc.); Provide constructive feedback. Supervise, train and mentor staff; listen and communicate effectively Work to develop responsible, trained staff by conducting performance feedback and evaluations, additional responsibilities as assigned. Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary Familiarity with tax accounting methods in the construction industry Should be familiar with the tax applications CCH, OneSource, Caseware, ProFx, FAS, etc. Have knowledge of researching tax articles. Desired Skills (Technical & Behavioral): 5 years + minimum experience in US Income tax compliance is preferred. Bachelors degree or any post graduate degree. Experience in Pass-Through entity (1065, 1120S) Income Tax Compliance preparation and review for construction companies. Familiarity with tax accounting methods in the construction industry (e.g., percentage-of-completion, completed contract method). Must have experience in any of the taxation tools (CCH, OneSource, Caseware, ProFx, FAS, etc) Good verbal and written English communication skills. Experienced or proficient with US Income Tax Research tools.
