What You’ll Do ● Architect, model, and optimize UAV systems for high-reliability flight operations. ● Lead root cause investigations for aircraft incidents and implement corrective system improvements. ● Integrate, configure, and tune autopilots (PX4, ArduPilot, custom stacks) across diverse airframes. ● Analyze flight logs, telemetry streams, and onboard sensor data to fine-tune flight performance. ● Design and validate system-level avionics including power systems, EMI mitigation, and hardware layout. ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams for mission-specific configurations and payload integration. ● Drive rigorous testing workflows—HIL/SIL simulations, validation protocols, and safety analysis. What You Bring ● Education : B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechatronics, Electronics & Communication, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields. ● Experience : ○ 2+ years of experience with a B.Tech or 1+ year with an M.Tech in UAV system development and integration. ○ Proven expertise in real-time autopilot tuning, control system calibration, and flight logic optimization using PX4, ArduPilot, or proprietary flight stacks. ○ Solid grounding in control theory, sensor fusion (EKF/UKF), PID tuning, and UAV flight dynamics. ○ Strong experience with flight data log analysis tools: Mission Planner, QGroundControl, UAVCAN monitors, uLog/BIN viewers. ○ Familiarity with MAVLink protocol (custom messages, telemetry streaming, mission control, payload management). ○ System-level understanding of UAV architecture: avionics layout, EMI/EMC best practices, power distribution, and vibration mitigation. ○ Practical knowledge of embedded autopilot platforms (e.g., Cube Orange+, Pixhawk series, STM32 boards) and peripheral integration (GNSS, magnetometer, barometer, airspeed sensor, rangefinder). ○ Hands-on experience with SIL/HIL testing for control validation using Gazebo, JSBSim, or similar simulation tools. ○ Proficient with serial bus protocols and RC systems: SBUS, PPM, DSM, CRSF. ○ Demonstrated payload integration (EO/IR gimbals, LiDAR, hyperspectral, SIGINT) and interface development for gimbal control. ○ Familiarity with fail-safe implementations and autonomous recovery (RTL, parachute deployment, geofence management). ○ Awareness of state-of-the-art avionics trends including AES-encrypted RF, FHSS, anti-jam/spoof systems, and secure telemetry systems. Responsibilities ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Accountabilities ACTIVITIES 1 Preparation and review of Engineering Drawings for proposed Retail Outlets and proposed additions at the Retail Outlets. Site selection and site survey is done before preparation of final drawing for the new Retail Outlet before LOI Ensure that the drawing is prepared as per requirement of statutory authorities. Drawings shall be with zero deviations. 2 Construction of facilities at the Retail Outlet as per the drawing and Nayara Energy Quality standards Ensuring kick off meetings/site visits and inspection as required Ensure that the facilities at the Retail Outlet are constructed as per the approved drawings, Engineering Manual and standards/SOPs Ensure that the quality of material being used at the Construction site is as per Nayara standards. Ensure that the material such as tanks, dispensers, tyre inflator, totem, etc are ordered from our registered Vendor only. The MIS to be given on weekly basis to the HO. Material planning to be done in advance and intimated/arranged Ensure that the facilities are constructed as per the drawing only 3 Standardisation Ensure all SOPs and standards are compiled while planning, designing, constructing the RO. Guide the field team and the Franchisees on getting the ROs standardised. 4 Normative Cost Provide estimated NC for the proposed Retail Outlets before LOI and getting sign off. Provide the actual NC for the constructed ROs Prepare the TS documents as per the requirements Ensure the correct NC is included in the TS 5 Maintenance Ensure minimum downtime of all the dispensers Liaison with OEMs for timely and quality response to complaints. Convince Franchisees to tie up for AMC’s. Carry out regular maintenance of CODO’s 6 Training Training Franchisee /Fes on RO operations, Engineering activities, construction, equipment’s, material ,quality work, & safety 7 Inspection of Retail Outlets - during and after construction Inspect under construction ROs at required milestones. Carry out Engineering Inspection of the Retail Outlets to check for Facilities, Safety. Carry out Asset Verification Inspection of Retail Outlets Making RO ready for commissioning and OTP. liquidating punch points timely 8 Development of local contractors / vendors Develop new Vendors for equipment supply Develop contractors for civil work. 9 Retail Outlets Automation Coordinate with vendors for installation of automation equipment and monitor performance. Responsible for technical support on loyalty programs Qualifications SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Educational Qualifications & Certifications: B.E / B Tech – Civil / Mechanical, preferred knowledge of Auto CAD is required. Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience: 15 to 18 Years Relevant Experience: 8 to 12 years Functional Skills: Basic understanding of Civil, Mechanical and electrical engineering and instrumentations. Knowledge of statutory guidelines related to Petroleum Products (preferred) Knowledge of engineering activities at Retail Outlet (preferred) Complete understanding of equipment’s like Dispenser Unit (preferred) Capability to handle multiple locations at a time.
