As a Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and safety of all hotel facilities including accommodation, conference rooms, catering, and sports amenities on a daily basis. Your primary duties will involve supervising hotel staff, establishing efficient systems, and promptly resolving any issues that may arise. The level of interaction with customers and staff will depend on the size of the establishment. In larger hotels, your role may be predominantly office-based, whereas in smaller establishments, you can expect regular contact with both guests and employees. Your key responsibilities will include recruiting, training, and overseeing the performance of staff, as well as implementing strategies to promote and market the business to attract new customers. You will also be in charge of managing budgets, maintaining financial records, and planning maintenance work, events, and room bookings. Additionally, liaising with maintenance and other contractors, meeting guests, and addressing their complaints and queries will be essential aspects of your role. Handling customer complaints effectively, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing laws will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this position, you must possess excellent numerical, verbal, and written communication skills, along with the ability to think quickly and solve problems efficiently. Moreover, proficiency in a foreign language, strong interpersonal skills, and confidence in interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds will be advantageous. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers benefits such as paid time off.
