Purpose of the Job Responsible for designing the various Telecom sub-systems (specially Networking / FOTS/DTS etc ) for Urban/Mainline projects based on the project requirements. The position needs to understand customer requirements and project context. Participate in the design workshops with customer and work towards getting approval as per the project key milestones. Day to day responsibilities include preparation of Design documents, Interacting with vendors for various for given Telecom sub-system. Working closely with all stakeholders like PrEM , other SSLs, Interface Manager , Civil contractors. Etc. Apart from Project activity, it is required to support for Baseline development activity. Required Experience/Skills Minimum 3 to 4 years relevant experience in rail Telecom domain or IT/Telecom industry as independent contributor. Experience in designing the various Telecom sub-systems to meet customer's design , operational and functional requirements. Should have experience and knowledge of developing various interfaces of Telecom with other systems like SIG , Rolling stock etc. Systems Thinking mindset / acumen. Competency expected Flexible and resilience to work on multiple projects at a time depending on requirements. Team orientation Aptitude to understand customer requirements and translating it to Architecture & Design documents to meet the project deadlines with minimum iterations. Effective communication

Responsibility To support in design activities as per project requirement and deliver with quality and respect timelines Adhere and maintain process related and applicable documents Coordinate with internal team and customer for project related queries and clarifications Maintains process related and applicable documents Required Skills: Under minimal guidance able to do detail design of electrical harness routing for systems considering schematics and electrical documents Experience of using Creo tool to generate harness 3D and able to generate flattening and installation drawings Knowledge on Sheet metal component design, material and processes. Knowledge on welded joints, symbols and implementation. Ability to compute and represent mass on assemblies, aggregates and installations Ability to understand Functional Dimensioning requirements. Design for manufacturability, serviceability. Selection of fasteners and joint design. Able to perform basic calculation. Good knowledge of drawing rules and GD&T using relevant standards. Hands-on experience in 3D, 2D and Harness for modeling and detailing of parts, assemblies and installations using Creo and PLM tools like Windchill Total Experience: 4 to 6 years
