Job Title: Civil Engineer Rolling Mill Department: Engineering / Projects / Maintenance Location: [Loni, Ghaziabad] Reports To: Plant Head / Project Manager / Civil Head Experience Required: 3+ years (preferably in heavy industry, steel plant, or rolling mill) Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering Job Summary: The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining civil and structural works related to the rolling mill and associated facilities. This includes construction, repair, inspection, and safety compliance of buildings, foundations, structures, drainage systems, roads, and plant infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Project Execution & Supervision: Supervise construction and maintenance of civil structures within the rolling mill premises. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and in-house teams to ensure timely and quality completion. Monitor the progress of civil works as per project schedules. Design & Planning: Review and interpret civil drawings and technical specifications. Assist in the planning and design of plant layout, foundations, utility buildings, water drains, etc. Ensure design compliance with BIS codes and industry best practices. Maintenance & Repair: Conduct periodic inspections of civil structures for cracks, settlement, water leakage, or structural failures. Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of roads, drains, and plant buildings. Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all civil work complies with safety and environmental regulations. Maintain documentation for audits and compliance (statutory & internal). Budgeting & Cost Control: Estimate quantities and costs for civil projects. Monitor project budgets and suggest cost-saving measures. Vendor & Material Management: Coordinate with procurement for material selection, quality checks, and delivery. Evaluate contractor performance and ensure quality workmanship. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering in industrial environments. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and other civil engineering tools. Good knowledge of construction materials and quality standards. Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
