You should have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in handling Environmental Compliance programs, with a focus on RoHS2/3 & REACH. Your responsibilities will include leading teams to drive Environmental Compliance programs, conducting due diligence processes suitable for assisting RoHS & REACH programs, and ensuring data quality systems are in place. A strong understanding of Compliance Assurance systems (CAS) documents and processes, as well as Chemical and Mechanical Properties of Plastics and Metals, will be essential for this role. In this position, you will be required to read and create Material Data Sheets (MDS), create and convert Modules to MDS, and follow IPC-1752 guidelines. Coordinating with customers and their suppliers, guiding suppliers to create IMDS for their products based on customer requirements, and evaluating Material Data Sheets (IMDS) for various components will be part of your daily tasks. You should also be familiar with RoHS testing methods such as XRF screening, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC-MS, GC-ECD, FTIR, UV-vis, and other RoHS testing methods for Bromine compounds. Additionally, having the ability to perform in-house safety testing of components when material data cannot be identified through documentation and interfacing with outside agencies for formal testing and certification requirements will be crucial.
