Role Overview: As a skilled ROS Engineer, your primary responsibility will be the on-site implementation, integration, and support of Autonomous Forklifts (AMRs). Your expertise in robotics deployment, system integration, and field troubleshooting, particularly focusing on Robot Operating System (ROS), will play a crucial role in this position. The role will require frequent travel to various customer sites in the USA and Europe, making candidates with a valid USA visa preferred. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the on-site installation and deployment of autonomous forklifts, ensuring proper setup and configuration. - Integrate AMRs with existing warehouse management systems (WMS) and facility infrastructure. - Calibrate and tune the forklifts" navigation and control systems using ROS to adapt to specific operational environments. - Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety of the deployed AMRs. - Provide hands-on training to customers on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of autonomous forklifts. - Serve as the primary point of contact for customer support during and after the deployment phase. - Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity of the autonomous forklifts, using ROS tools for debugging and analysis. - Maintain detailed deployment documentation, including site assessment reports, configuration settings, and troubleshooting logs. - Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for deployment and support activities. Qualifications Required: - Experience in deploying and supporting autonomous systems, robotics, or automated industrial equipment. - Hands-on experience with autonomous forklifts, AMRs, AGVs, or similar robotic systems. - Proficiency in Robot Operating System (ROS) for robot control, navigation, and diagnostics. - Strong understanding of robotics, navigation systems (e.g., SLAM), and sensor integration. - Experience with ROS, including creating and managing nodes, topics, and services. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in robotic systems. - Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and industrial network protocols (e.g., Wi-Fi, Ethernet, CAN bus). - Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, C++) for configuring and debugging autonomous systems. - Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to autonomous industrial vehicles.
