As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in robotic welding applications, you will play a vital role in supporting the team by providing technical expertise in robotic programming and path planning. Your responsibilities will include developing and programming robotic welding paths to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. You will also be involved in simulating robotic movements and welding sequences to validate fixture designs and optimize production workflows. Collaboration with design engineers to evaluate welding fixture designs and provide feedback for manufacturability and automation suitability will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will conduct feasibility studies and collision detection simulations to prevent errors in the production environment. Utilizing robotic simulation software and offline programming tools, you will create and test robotic programs before deployment. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and best practices for robotic welding applications will be crucial. Troubleshooting and optimizing robotic welding programs to improve cycle time and quality will also be part of your responsibilities. You will serve as a technical point of contact for the assigned work package scope and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tools and technologies. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a relevant field. With 5-8 years of experience in robotic cell and robot handling, you should have expertise in robotic programming, particularly for welding applications. Experience with ABB and Fanuc robots is considered an advantage. Proficiency in robotic simulation software like Robostudio and Roboguide is essential. A strong understanding of industrial automation, path planning, and motion control is required. Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial control systems, as well as familiarity with welding processes and parameters, will be beneficial. Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing is desirable. Certification in robotic programming/courses will be a plus. Having good analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills will be important for this role. You should also possess knowledge in the design of jigs and fixtures, as well as welding techniques. Your ability to troubleshoot robotic systems and optimize welding processes for quality and efficiency will be critical to your success.,
