As a Senior Associate in Freight Forwarding Operations at DP World, your role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and timely movement of Ocean Freight to and from specific locations within the service standards agreed with the Customer. You will serve as the primary point of contact for CSO operators, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments across various modes of transport such as Ocean, Air, and Road. Your responsibilities will include planning and coordinating freight movements, ensuring all required shipment documents are completed accurately and on time, and working closely with carriers, NVOCCs, and terminals to track shipments effectively. You will also handle branch office inquiries related to shipping and delivery, maintain necessary import/export documents, and ensure customs compliance and customer requirements are met at all stages. Additionally, you will be responsible for assessing and mitigating risks in the transportation process, tracking and tracing shipments for timely updates, collaborating with internal departments for seamless operations, and ensuring accurate data tracking and compliance with KPIs for each handled shipment. To excel in this role, you should have 2-3 years of direct experience in Freight Forwarding and logistics, knowledge of customs filing procedures, and proficiency in shipping-related Export and Import Documentation and invoicing. Strong problem-solving skills, decision-making ability, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with logistics or freight forwarding applications are essential. Being well-versed in MS Office tools and having the capability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive mindset will be beneficial.
