Job Title: Internship / Research Assistant – Healthcare Sustainability & Hospital Survey Analysis Location: On-Site : Thane Type: Full-Time Internship / Contract Research Assistant About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and driven Intern / Research Assistant to support hospital-related field surveys, data collection, data analysis, and report development. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen interest in healthcare systems, hospital operations (from small to large bedded facilities), biomedical waste management, and developing solutions to mitigate climate change caused by healthcare activities. This position offers hands-on exposure to sustainability challenges in the healthcare sector and an opportunity to contribute to real-world impact through evidence-based research and strategic insights. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: • Conduct on-site surveys and interviews in hospitals ranging from small clinics to large multi-specialty hospitals. • Assist in designing data collection tools (questionnaires, checklists) for hospital assessments. • Collect and compile quantitative and qualitative data related to hospital waste management, energy usage, resource consumption, etc. • Perform data cleaning, analysis, and interpretation using MS Excel, Google Sheets, or statistical tools. • Draft detailed research reports, case studies, and presentations for internal and external dissemination. • Work closely with domain experts on healthcare-related environmental footprint assessments. • Explore and suggest climate-resilient and sustainable practices for the healthcare sector. • Maintain clear documentation and data integrity throughout the project. ⸻ Desired Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (ongoing or completed) in Public Health, Environmental Studies, Biomedical Engineering, Hospital Administration, Sustainability, or related fields. • Familiarity with hospital infrastructure and healthcare delivery systems, especially varying capacities (small to large bedded hospitals). • Working knowledge of Biomedical Waste Management Rules and healthcare waste disposal systems. • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel;Canva,PowerPoint , chat GPT. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (regional languages are a plus). • Passion for sustainability, climate change mitigation, and circular economy approaches in healthcare. • Willingness to travel locally for site visits, surveys, or field assessments. ⸻ What You’ll Gain: • Hands-on experience in healthcare sustainability research. • Exposure to climate change mitigation strategies in the healthcare sector. • Opportunity to work with experts and stakeholders across hospitals and environmental bodies. • Certificate of Internship / Work Experience on successful completion. ⸻ How to Apply: Interested candidates may email their CV Support@rnisargfoundation.com
