Job Responsibilities CNC/VMC Programmer, Setter & Operator Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to prepare machining plans. Develop, write, and optimize CNC/VMC programs using relevant programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code). Set up CNC/VMC machines, including tool selection, fixture installation, workpiece alignment, and zero-point setting. Conduct trial runs and adjust programs or machine settings to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes. Operate CNC/VMC machines to manufacture precision components as per design requirements. Inspect and verify machined parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM reports. Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to ensure dimensional accuracy and process stability. Ensure proper tool usage, monitor tool wear, and replace tools as required to maintain quality and productivity. Maintain machine logs, production records, and documentation for quality control. Perform routine maintenance on CNC/VMC machines and ensure safe and efficient operation. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve machining processes and reduce cycle times. Adhere to safety standards, 5S practices, and company operational procedures at all times. Qualifications & Skills Minimum ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Machinist, Tool & Die, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Manufacturing industry. CNC Programming or CAD/CAM certification (preferred). CNC/VMC programming (G/M codes) and machine operation. Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T. Knowledge of tooling, machining parameters, and material properties. Skilled in measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Strong troubleshooting, accuracy, and safety awareness.
