You have an exciting opportunity to join as a Network Engineer in the GNOC department of OCI's Physical Networking team. With 3-5 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in managing large data centers at L2 level within a GNOC environment. To excel in this role, you should have prior experience in a large ISP or cloud provider environment. Your expertise with networking vendors such as Juniper, Arista, and Cisco on routers & switches will be essential. Proficiency in Spine leaf, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and port channel configurations is a must. Your skill set should also include exposure to commodity Ethernet hardware (Broadcom/Mellanox), along with protocol knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, and MPLS. Familiarity with networking protocols like TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SSL will be advantageous. It would be beneficial if you have experience in Automation tools like Python, Puppet, and/or Ansible, as well as familiarity with the Jira tool. Your responsibilities will involve handling incident, change, and service request tasks efficiently. Experience with RCA and RMA processes, as well as contributing to Major incident calls for Sev1 and Sev2 incidents, is highly desired. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration within the team. Possessing Cisco and Juniper certifications would be an added advantage for this role.
