The Global Business School, Kondapur, is looking for an experienced academic and industry professional to take on the role of Head of Department in the Fintech Department. This position is tailored for a proactive individual with a profound background in financial technology, a solid academic track record, and a genuine interest in nurturing future leaders within the fast-evolving fintech sector. As the HOD, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of shaping the department's strategy, designing the curriculum, leading the faculty, fostering industry connections, promoting research activities, and upholding academic excellence. Your key duties will encompass: Academic Leadership: Spearheading the development and execution of the Fintech department's vision, academic programs, and strategic initiatives. Ensuring the maintenance of high academic standards through effective teaching methods, assessments, and outcome-based education. Faculty & Student Development: Engaging in the recruitment, mentorship, and guidance of a team of competent faculty members. Encouraging faculty members to engage in research, publications, and active participation in academic and industry circles. Promoting student-centric learning experiences through case studies, capstone projects, and industry certifications. Industry Integration: Cultivating partnerships with prominent fintech firms, startups, and research institutions. Facilitating guest lectures, internships, live projects, and job placements. Organizing industry conclaves, seminars, and fintech boot camps. Research & Innovation: Stimulating applied research, white papers, and funded projects in the fintech domain. Fostering collaborations with international establishments and innovation centers. Driving thought leadership by publishing in esteemed journals and conferences. Administrative & Strategic Oversight: Overseeing departmental operations, including budget management, faculty workload, and accreditations such as NAAC and NBA. Representing the department in academic councils, boards of studies, and various committees. Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics related to student outcomes, research endeavors, and industry collaborations. Qualifications & Experience: A Ph.D. in Finance, Fintech, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field is essential (or in progress for academic institutions). A Master's degree (MBA/M.Tech/M.Com) with a focus on Finance/Fintech/Technology. Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching, academic administration, or fintech industry roles. A robust academic and/or professional track record with publications, industry projects, or involvement in fintech startups.
