The ARM Operations team is the group within Buyer Abuse that goes beyond core operations to identify live abuse patterns in the abuse space while working closely with the Analytics and Machine Learning teams to ensure seamless resolution to difficult & complex cases with similar pattern across Amazon. This team requires high bias for action and deep dive skills as identifying and prioritizing large set of data is required with high accuracy to utilize the bandwidth efficiently. The team has an ability to dynamically change the goals mid-way basis the changes noticed in different stores, abuse patterns, attacks etc. ARM plays a critical role in reducing bad debt and providing operational insights into bad debt drivers through clustered investigations and reviews of abusive activity at scale. ARM Investigators are deeply knowledgeable of abuse indicators, the platforms and tools required to initiate decisions in bulk. ARM is seeking committed & results-oriented candidates with a proven track record to join Abuse org. Candidates will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to investigation and elimination of online e-commerce abuse in bulk. The ARM position relies on analytical and critical thinking and problem-solving skills including the ability to recommend solutions in an ambiguous & ever-challenging environment. Key job responsibilities 1. Scope and Influence a. Mine large data sets and convert investigations into allegations of organized abuse on the Amazon website. b. Investigate suspicious orders as well as selling and buying behavior that could pose a risk to Amazon c. Consistently achieve/exceed weekly targets and quality standards for investigations to reduce the abuse bps and recommend policy changes by identifying new abuse types and identifying existing abuse patterns d. Minimize Customers loss and monitory loss to Amazon through invalid concessions e. Works on projects that design/improve tools or processes by testing and/or develops recommendations for management f. Influences processes, project plans, and stakeholder interactions 2. Process Improvement a. Use a combination of manual and automated tools to obtain information & report bugs b. Focus toward improving customer experience and contributing toward Analytics and ML team goals c. Take appropriate action to identify and help minimize the risk posed by abuse patterns, trends and evolution of known MOs from manual and bulk environment d. Identify opportunities and contribute solutions for continuous improvement of investigations e. Defines requirements, facilitates progress, identifies blockers, and increases the visibility of issues. 3. Execution and Communication a. Coordinates the delivery of straight forward risk projects/goals. b. Participates in deep dives and/or escalations c. Drives risk mitigation through identification of abusive patterns. d. Will provide inputs to Improve the quality for new batch hires and existing team through mentoring and quality audits e. Communicates effectively both in verbal and written form on all investigative matters f. Executes on key team priorities and assists teammates with execution g. Participates in the development internal communication on key process changes for easy percolation to teammates 4. Technical a. Occasionally Run basic SQL queries b. 1+ years of experience with MS Office Suite and programs to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, InfoPath, SharePoint, etc. c. As a Business Analyst for Risk Mining in the Account Integrity group, you will be responsible for analyzing large data sets in partnership with product managers, scientists, and engineers, drive root cause analysis of ever changing bad actor behaviours and deploy rules that will prevent bad actors from gaining access to Amazon's platform. Key job responsibilities - Maintain, and improve data sets, pipelines and reporting to track and manage important KPIs and goals in the Account Integrity space - Analyze customer trends to identify patterns, develop attributes that clearly articulate those pattern and incorporate those attributes into static rules for automated deployment in our account creation pipeline. - Operate as an on-call during rotation weeks to respond to high severity events impacting Amazon - Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data visualization and data-mining to design alarm systems, derive actionable insights and guide product strategy for stakeholders and leadership - Support the the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. within SQL and other BI tools - Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of projects and initiatives - Communicate analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing A day in the life 1. Review instances of bad actor account activity and create rules for short term and mechanisms for long term to stop them 2. Report on fraud and abuse trends and leverage that information to support product development inputs 3. We evaluate instances of organized bad actor account take over and creation of fraudulent accounts on Amazon . We collaborate closely across multiple functions in order to mitigate these attacks through various short and long term solutions. This role will support existing teams that are based out of Costa Rica, India and the US and will enable provision of round the clock coverage of Sev 2 support for AIT. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 1+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience handling confidential information - Experience with SQL and Excel PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 1+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience - Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials - Experience using scripting languages like R or Python

Amazons Account Integrity team (AIT) within the Selling Partner Support organization is looking for a senior leader for the Risk Mining team based out of India. The AIT team owns designing and building high performance software systems using machine learning that identify and prevent fraudulent activity and maintain high trust levels with our customers. Stopping bad actors improves our ability to stop downstream fraud and abuse. The role of the Risk Mining team is to detect and quickly mitigate unique patters of bad actor activity. As a leader of the Risk Mining org in the Account Integrity group, you will be responsible for managing a team of 9 risk specialists directly and 1 Risk Mining analyst. You will also be leading all process improvements initiatives as a program leader with downstream teams such as Abuse and Fraud detection. Your team will enable analysis of large data sets in partnership with product managers, scientists, and engineers, drive root cause analysis of ever-changing bad actor behaviours and deploy rules that will prevent bad actors from gaining access to Amazon's platform. Key job responsibilities 1. Provide leadership direction to Risk specialists and Risk mining analyst in managing day to day activities of bad actor detection 2. Develop and help drive the execution of the Risk Mining analyst charter based out of the IN location 3. Navigate an ever-changing risk environment and focus on developing long term strategic charter and balance it with very short term initiatives 4. Provide high severity event support for Risk Mining WW in addition to the Risk Mining analyst by querying data via SQL queries and write systemic rules to manage bad actor traffic 5. Start a new charter for incorporating downstream signals from Fraud and Abuse teams for improving AIT efficiency in detection of bad actor traffic. Consequently, improve downstream signal sharing with Abuse and Fraud teams for improved detection of bad actor activity during a transaction 6. Lead and manage talent reviews for the direct team. Also should be able to drive the talent review for the entire Risk Mining and Operations org as per roster 7. Write quarterly business reviews (and monthly business reviews) that are reviewed at leadership level 8. Develop scalable mechanisms within the team for providing OP1 and OP2 (OP = Operational plan) tech inputs to machine learning and Engineering teams - once per year A day in the life 1. Manage day to day issues of the team in terms of team health and satisfaction, unblock any administrative or data issues with HR, GREF or AIT internal stakeholder teams. Includes weekly 1:1s and performance management. 2. Monitor and regulate high performance from the Risk Mining team 3. Lead and be available for meetings with US and CR stakeholders teams during IST night time (own team will be staffed likewise) 4. Handover in progress work with clear templates 5. Work on projects - via meetings, mental model or output documents, workshops, internal dive deeps. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree - Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in risk or fraud investigations, risk management, regulatory compliance, ecommerce, analytics, or security - Minimum 3 years experience leading at least a small to medium size fast moving team (implies teams of 8-20); strong management skills with a proven track record of building and grooming a top performing team - Experience developing and implementing a strategic, forward looking vision for an organization - Able to drive cross functional projects - SQL and intermediate to advanced excel. Ability to develop and mantain queries and basic models PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Masters Degree or an MBA from a Tier I/II school - PMP certification - Python/R experience or being able to develop requirements for buildind models on either of these tools.
