Ø Researches and responds to patient inquiries regarding billing issues and problems Ø Verifying patients’ insurance coverage Ø Verify accuracy on Medical claim forms before submitting for billing Ø Follows up on submitted claims; monitors unpaid claims, initiates tracers; resubmits claims as necessary Ø Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancies in payments, if necessary Ø May receive and receipt cash items and third party reimbursements; posts and reconciles payments to patient ledgers Ø Regularly meet with Account Manager to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstacles.
