Role & responsibilities Job Title: RFID Specialist / RFID Solution Engineer Client: Reliance Location: Navi Mumbai (5 Days Onsite) Experience: 5+ Years Employment Type: Full-time Joining: Immediate or Short Notice Preferred Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced RFID Specialist to join our team at Reliance , based in Navi Mumbai . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in RFID technologies , system integration , and RFID-IoT ecosystems , along with a deep understanding of hardware, middleware, and enterprise application integration. This is a high-impact role where you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing RFID-based solutions across business units. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage RFID-based solutions including tags, readers, antennas , and encoding systems. Apply in-depth knowledge of RFID standards and frequency ranges such as UHF, HF, LF, EPC Gen2, ISO 18000 . Work with RFID middleware to handle data capture, filtering, processing , and integration with backend systems. Integrate RFID solutions with enterprise applications such as ERP, WMS, POS , and inventory management systems. Collaborate with IoT teams to connect RFID systems with cloud platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT , or Google Cloud IoT . Ensure reliable networking and connectivity between RFID devices using protocols like TCP/IP, MQTT , and REST APIs . Implement and maintain data security, encryption , and compliance standards related to RFID and IoT data flows. Manage relationships with RFID vendors , suppliers, and cross-functional business/IT stakeholders. Lead solution design, prototyping, pilot testing , and full-scale rollouts of RFID solutions with defined SOPs and best practices . Monitor and optimize RFID system performance for accuracy, range, and reliability. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of RFID protocols , standards, and frequency ranges (UHF, HF, LF, EPC Gen2, ISO 18000) Hands-on experience with RFID hardware : readers, antennas, tags, encoders Proficiency in RFID middleware platforms and data processing workflows Proven experience integrating RFID with ERP , WMS , POS , or similar enterprise applications Familiarity with IoT frameworks , cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and edge computing Understanding of RFID communication protocols : TCP/IP, MQTT, REST APIs Knowledge of security , data privacy , and regulatory compliance in RFID/IoT environments Experience in stakeholder/vendor management and technical documentation Ability to lead end-to-end RFID solution delivery , from PoC to production rollout Bachelors degree in Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or a related field Preferred candidate profile
