Key Responsibilities: HVAC System Drawings: Prepare detailed HVAC drawings (plans, elevations, sections, and schematics) for air conditioning, ventilation, heating, and refrigeration systems. Create and modify AHU (Air Handling Unit) locations, ductwork layouts , chilled and hot water piping routes , and other HVAC system elements. Develop and maintain Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs) and other associated design documentation. Piping and Ducting Layouts: Design piping layouts for chilled water (CHW) and hot water (HW) systems, including manifolds, valves, and equipment connections. Prepare detailed layouts for ductwork , air distribution systems, and ventilation routes. Coordination with Engineering Teams: Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other team members to integrate HVAC designs with overall building layouts and systems. Assist in the development of pressure zoning , area classification , and detailed airflow layouts . Documentation and Revisions: Ensure the timely delivery of HVAC shop drawings and layouts. Revise and update drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, and coordination with other disciplines. Prepare as-built drawings after the projects completion, reflecting the final system installations. Software Usage: Use AutoCAD , Revit , and other HVAC design software to produce accurate and efficient drawings. Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project files. Skills & Qualifications: Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering , HVAC Engineering , or related field. Experience: Minimum [4-9] years of experience as an HVAC Draughtsman or in a similar role. Experience in preparing HVAC system drawings for commercial and residential buildings is essential. Knowledge of ductwork design , piping layouts , and HVAC equipment. Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit , and other HVAC drafting tools. Knowledge of HVAC systems, including AHUs , chilled water systems , ducting , and ventilation systems . Familiarity with HVAC design standards , local building codes , and regulatory requirements . Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications and integrate them into drawings. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Desirable: Previous experience in MEP coordination and working with multi-disciplinary teams. Familiarity with energy-efficient HVAC systems and sustainable design practices. Certification in AutoCAD or similar software.
