As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing outpatient care to patients with eye-related disorders and conditions. Your duties will include conducting routine eye examinations, which may involve visual field tests and Retinoscopy tests. You will assess each patient's visual acuity, field of vision, and hand-eye coordination. In addition, you will be expected to take detailed medical histories from all patients, including information on current and past prescription medications. It will be your responsibility to evaluate eye-related symptoms such as discharge, redness, and inflammation. Based on your findings, you may prescribe corrective lenses when necessary. Furthermore, part of your role will involve educating patients on proper eye care practices. You will need to identify eye health safety factors that could potentially impact vision, such as exposure to chemicals or prolonged screen time in front of a computer. You will also advise patients on maintaining proper eye hygiene and care practices. This position is full-time and permanent, offering benefits such as paid sick time, paid time off, and Provident Fund. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. The work location for this role is in person.
