Retainer - Scriptwriter (6 months Contract)

Role Overview: As a Retainer Scriptwriter at Ubisoft, your main objective will be to create and support the narrative script, in-game and cinematic dialogue, and all other game-related texts to ensure the overall coherence of the narrative with team members from various crafts involved in game design. Key Responsibilities: - Understand the intentions of the creative director to effectively translate the vision into words. - Develop and evolve scripts based on narrative storylines, character development, and other narrative foundations. - Collaborate with internal teams such as Gameplay, Cinematics, and Audio to create a cohesive and engaging narrative experience. - Ensure alignment with the creative direction and lead content designers in developing world, character, reference, locations, and script elements. - Write detailed scripts for various elements including character descriptions, places, atmospheres, dialogues, cinematics, scripted events, in-game dialogue, menus, and displayed texts. - Provide feedback on narrative design to enhance the development of compelling scripts. - Collaborate with team members overseeing the design of the narrative and provide immediate dialogue revisions on-set. - Keep all reference documents up to date and supervise the script with the scripted events production team. - Perform any other related tasks as required. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and writing scripts in a high-demand media environment, with preference given to experience in a game development context. - Strong organizational skills, inspired by people and world events, curiosity, and creativity.
