As the Head of Modern Trade, Cash & Carry, and Alternate Channels at Beiersdorf, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the three organized trade verticals, namely Modern Trade, Cash & Carry, and Alternate Channels. You will be tasked with developing and implementing action plans to achieve the annual sales targets for these channels, collectively referred to as organized trade within the organization. Your key responsibilities include: - Developing and managing a sales team and account portfolio in alignment with the brand and sales strategy. - Establishing strong partnerships and collaborative relationships with key chains, conducting Joint Business Planning (JBP) sessions with major clients on an annual basis. - Driving sales growth and profitability for the accounts in line with company objectives. - Creating and executing an annual business plan that incorporates various growth levers such as commercial agreements, marketing initiatives, merchandising strategies, and retail opportunities. - Monitoring account performance against the business plan and devising alternative strategies when necessary. - Communicating important business information to internal stakeholders for further action. - Managing the sales team, including merchandisers, to ensure exceptional in-store execution of NIVEA products. - Fostering expertise and knowledge development within the team and supporting organizational changes. - Collaborating with Sales & Category Management (S&CM) and Marketing teams to define Beauty advisors focus and Best Growth Rate (BGR) regularly. - Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all administrative tasks and internal requirements. - Planning, negotiating, and finalizing the annual promotional calendar and activation plans. Additionally, the role involves: - Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders in the organized trade vertical. - Conducting regular visits to trade partners to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement. To be successful in this role, you should have: - A proven track record of working in organized trade verticals, particularly in Modern Trade at a senior level. - Experience in managing prominent chains like BB, Reliance, Dmart, Walmart, etc., and health and beauty channels. - A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing from a reputable university. - At least 10 years of sales experience with a leading FMCG company. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Hindi and English. - Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
