Job description The Energy business line of Vaisala is working to speed the adoption of wind and solar power around the world through better and more cost effective measurement technologies and information services. We are now looking for a Sales Manager for Renewable Energy Business. In this position the focus region is India and you would be working from our New Delhi India location. Your main responsibility is to be part of the team tasked with developing and growing the sales of Vaisala Renewable Energy business in your region. This role includes prospecting, investigation, consultative selling and assisting our development teams in creating a better offering for our customers. This role requires a highly motivated self-driven person who is willing to work in fast changing conditions. Key responsibilities of the role include: Sell Vaisala suite of Weather Resource Data Tools, Consulting Services and Measurement Equipment to the Renewable Energy market comprised of OEM, IPP and Financial Institutions. Manage assigned Key Accounts in your territory Create and Implement the sales strategy to win new customers Achieving sales budget and Gross Margin targets. To be successful in this role, we re seeking for a candidate with the following qualifications: Strong knowledge of the Renewable Energy (wind and solar) market specifically in the areas of Resource Assessment, Resource Measurement and Renewable Energy production forecasting. 8 years of consultative selling experience with minimum 5 years of successful sales track record in the Renewable Energy sector Knowledge of contract practices for consulting services and capital equipment sales. Good networking and influencing skills Willingness to travel Fluent English You are an outstanding Sales Manager with unstoppable drive. You are competitive by nature with ability to win. You always put the customer first. You also understand that the good co-operation with different stakeholders is a must. Role & responsibilities Job Summary: The Head of Retail Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all retail outlets across the business. This role ensures the seamless execution of strategies, maximizes store performance, drives customer satisfaction, and fosters an environment of operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of retail management. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Lead and manage regional/store managers to ensure store-level operations align with company goals. Drive the execution of strategic initiatives and retail programs across all locations. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement. People Management: Recruit, train, and mentor retail leadership teams. Develop succession plans and ensure effective talent development at all levels. Foster a performance-driven culture with clear accountability and recognition systems. Customer Experience: Ensure exceptional customer service standards are upheld across all stores. Implement customer feedback systems and lead service improvement initiatives. Sales & Revenue Growth: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive revenue through promotions, merchandising, and customer engagement. Set sales targets, monitor results, and implement corrective measures where necessary. Inventory & Supply Chain: Oversee inventory management practices to ensure stock accuracy and availability. Liaise with supply chain and merchandising teams for effective stock replenishment. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all retail operations comply with company policies, legal regulations, and health & safety standards. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments. Budgeting & Cost Management: Prepare and manage operational budgets for the retail division. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of progressive experience in retail operations, including multi-site management. Proven leadership experience with large, diverse retail teams. Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L statements. Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with retail tech and POS systems. Strong understanding of e-commerce and omni channel retail.
