Job Description

Retail Specialized Data Scientist

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Science & AI Solution Development

Design, develop, and implement machine learning and AI models tailored for retail applications such as:
- Demand forecasting
- Price and promotion optimization
- Customer segmentation and personalization
- Inventory and supply chain analytics
- Recommendation engines and churn prediction
Work with structured and unstructured data (sales, POS, CRM, marketing, etc.) to generate actionable insights.
Apply advanced statistical and machine learning algorithms to support client decision-making.

2. Business Consulting & Domain Application

Partner with retail business experts to translate business challenges into analytical frameworks.
Present analytical insights in a business-friendly manner to stakeholders.
Support end-to-end consulting engagements from diagnostics and strategy to model deployment and performance tracking.

3. Data Management & Engineering Collaboration

Collaborate with data engineers to design robust data pipelines and ensure data quality.
Work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) for model development, deployment, and monitoring.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.

4. Client Engagement & Delivery

Contribute to proposal development, solution demonstrations, and client workshops.
Support global delivery teams in building reusable AI assets, frameworks, and accelerators for retail.
Mentor junior team members in analytics methodologies and tools.

5. Innovation & Research

Stay current with emerging AI/ML technologies and retail trends (e.g., generative AI, real-time personalization).
Contribute to knowledge assets, whitepapers, and proof-of-concepts within the global AI network.
