Opening is with UK Based food ready to eat Manufacturing co Role & responsibilities Job Title: Sales Representative/OFFICER Modern Trade (Ready-to-Eat / Food Division) Location: [Insert Location] Department: Sales & Distribution Reports To: Area Sales Manager / Regional Sales Manager Experience: 25 years in FMCG / Modern Trade sales, preferably in food/RTE category Job Summary: We are looking for an energetic and target-driven Sales Representative /OFFICER – Modern Trade to expand our presence and drive sales of Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food products in modern retail chains. The candidate will be responsible for key account handling, in-store execution, driving secondary sales, and building strong relationships with store managers and modern trade chains. Key Responsibilities: Modern Trade Account Management: Handle sales operations in key modern trade outlets such as Reliance Retail, Big Bazaar, D-Mart, Spencer’s, More, and other supermarket chains. Sales Achievement: Achieve monthly sales targets through effective planning, execution, and relationship building. In-store Execution: Ensure proper product visibility, planogram adherence, shelf space allocation, and timely replenishment. Promotions & Activations: Execute promotional activities, sampling campaigns, and merchandising plans in coordination with the marketing team. Stock & Order Management: Collect orders, ensure timely delivery, and monitor stock levels at the store/distributor level. Reporting: Maintain and share daily/weekly sales reports, competitor analysis, and market insights with the reporting manager. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with store personnel, category buyers, and distribution teams. Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, consumer behavior, and suggest new opportunities to grow brand presence. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory). 2–5 years of relevant experience in Modern Trade Sales in the FMCG / RTE segment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proven negotiation and account handling experience. Willingness to travel within assigned territory and work on weekends/holidays as per business need. Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting tools. Preferred Background: Ready-to-Eat / Ready-to-Cook Food Brands Frozen Foods / Beverages / Packaged Foods FMCG companies with strong Modern Trade operations Preferred candidate profile
