As an Associate Security Platform Engineer at NTT DATA, you will be an entry-level subject matter expert responsible for learning to facilitate problem resolution and mentoring for the overall team. Your role will involve performing operational security tasks such as performance and availability monitoring, log monitoring, security incident detection and response, security event reporting, and content maintenance. You will be tasked with detecting and monitoring escalated threats and suspicious activity affecting the organization's technology domain, including servers, networks, appliances, and all infrastructure supporting production applications for the enterprise as well as development environments. In this position, you will work as part of a 24/7 team on rotational shifts, collaborating with Platform and Content Engineering to handle tunings, stakeholder requests, escalations, reporting, and trainings. Your responsibilities will include administering the organization's security tools to gather security logs from the environment, lifecycle management of supported security tools/technologies, adherence to SOPs, documentation of best practices, and identifying opportunities for automation to aid the incident response team. You will also be involved in security incident handling and response from various vectors, including End Point Protection and Enterprise Detection and response tools, attack analysis, malware analysis, network forensics, computer forensics, and a broad range of skills in LAN technologies, Windows and Linux operating systems, and general security infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Work as part of a 24/7 team on rotational shifts. - Collaborate with Platform and Content Engineering for tunings, stakeholder requests, escalations, reporting, and trainings. - Administer security tools to gather security logs from the environment. - Manage the lifecycle of supported security tools/technologies. - Adhere to SOPs and notify stakeholders on log flow/log format issues. - Document best practices. - Identify opportunities for automation to assist the incident response team. - Perform security incident handling and response from various vectors, including End Point Protection and Enterprise Detection and response tools. Knowledge and Attributes: - Entry-level knowledge of SIEM or security tools/technologies implementation and monitoring. - Understanding of security architecture and experience across different security technologies. - Customer service-oriented and proactive thinking. - Problem-solving skills and self-organization. - Attention to detail, analytical, and logical thinking. - Excellent spoken and written communication skills. - Team player with the ability to work well with colleagues and stakeholders. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field. - Relevant Networking certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, ACCA, PCNSA, CCSA, etc., preferred. - Relevant Security certifications such as AZ-500, SC-200, Security+, CEH, etc., will be an added advantage. Required Experience: - Entry-level experience in Security technologies like Firewall, IPS, IDS, Proxy, etc. - Technical support experience to clients. - Diagnosis and troubleshooting experience. - Providing remote support in Security Technologies. - Experience in SOC/CSIRT Operations. - Handling security incidents end to end. - Security engineering experience.
