As the Trade Finance & Operations Manager at Mashreq Bank, your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic and transaction level Trade Finance advice to CIBG, IBG, and RBG customer segments. You will oversee the operational delivery of world-class Trade Finance services for the Bank's customers, ensuring adherence to Regulatory Guidelines and meeting Internal and External/Central Banks Audit Standards. Your role will involve ensuring effective positioning of Mashreq Trade in the ever-evolving regulatory, risk, and technology landscape. You will play a key role in creating a service distinction and offering a unique proposition to customers, aiming to solidify Mashreq's leadership position in Trade Finance across all countries of operation. Strategizing on medium- and long-term opportunities for process improvement, industry-leading automation, policy changes, and control robustness will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Managing multiple specialized teams of managers and Subject Matter Experts will be part of your duties, focusing on catering to international trade services for cross-functional stakeholders and internal partners. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining KPIs, accuracy standards, and staff mentoring to ensure subject matter expertise within the team. Collaborating with Senior Management and Business/GTB to formulate trade service standards and product offerings for global customers will be essential. You will interface with various stakeholders to ensure optimal resourcing models across multiple geographies, managing over 200 highly skilled Trade Finance employees. Your role will involve embedding a culture of continuous improvement, identifying enhancements for customer experience, productivity, and efficiency. Developing a culture of talent development to meet business objectives, fostering relationships with customers, business groups, vendors, support divisions, and ensuring proper succession planning for the area managed will also be part of your responsibilities.
