Key Responsibilities: 1. Compliance: - Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. 7. Team Management: - Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related field. - Minimum 8+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the polymer or plastics industry. - Proven track record of successful procurement and supplier management. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. - Experience with ERP systems and procurement software is desirable. The main objective of Purchase head will be delivery of cost efficiencies, compliance and driving an increased contribution to the organisation's growth. The incumbent would be building and managing strong supplier relationships, developing and executing procurement strategies, and mitigating risks associated with supply chain disruptions. Specific responsibilities include : - Develop & execute procurement strategies which support market to excel and over deliver the direct - RM Procurement objectives. - This includes supplier selection, development of alternative suppliers, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance - Make sure that company is partnered with the correct suppliers in the market to drive long term value - Sourcing fine chemicals , specialty chemicals - Establish functional credibility with senior internal and external stakeholders - Understand , analyse price trends and ensure Cost optimization - We invite applications from seasoned Procurement specialists with good academic credentials - BE - Chemical, MBA - Should have at least 14+ years of Raw Materials Procurement experience with majority experience in chemicals and resin manufacturing companies. - Must have handled procurement for organisations with turnover of at least 1000 cr - Strong leadership skills to build and maintain effective teams. - Knowledge of pertinent supplier base and cost trends. - Proven track record of delivery in challenging business environments and ability to engage and influence a wide range of senior stakeholders. - Excellent knowledge of world-class procurement systems, processes and practices. - Conceptual clarity, great negotiation skills and understanding of commercial and tax implications is a must. - Working on SAP MM.
