Resident Medical Officer (ER)

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Emergency Room RMO to join our Emergency & Trauma Care Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing immediate medical attention to emergency patients, supporting the clinical team, and ensuring timely and efficient patient management in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessment, stabilization, and management of emergency cases.
• Perform clinical examinations, order investigations, and initiate treatment as per protocols.
• Assist consultants and specialists during procedures and critical care interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and update medical records accurately and promptly.
• Respond to Code Blue and other medical emergencies within the hospital premises.
• Coordinate with nursing staff, paramedics, and other clinical teams for seamless patient care.
• Ensure proper documentation, discharge summaries, and handover reports.
• Adhere to hospital policies, emergency protocols, and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding condition and treatment.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution with MEM.
• Valid medical registration (Kerala Medical Council or equivalent).
• Preferably 0–3 years of experience in Emergency / Casualty / ICU settings. Freshers with interest in emergency medicine may also apply.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick clinical decisions.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-handling skills.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.

Desired Competencies

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of emergency protocols and triage systems.
• Confidence in performing basic emergency procedures.
