RESEARCH SCIENTIST III

Applications are invited for a research project for the following posts for a two year period: Fresh candidates with high quality academic research experience will be preferred.

RESEARCH SCIENTIST III

M. Sc with 2-3 years wet lab experience having a clearly defined career path. Should have experience in the following areas.

1. General molecular biology techniques pertaining to cloning and expression of genes. Should be conversant with bioinformatic approaches to oligonucleotide design, in silico cloning and bioinformatic approaches for analyzing sequences, identifying genes and the use of basic alignment tools. Must be conversant with the use of general equipment in a modern biology lab.

2. Basic protein purification and characterization work. Using chromatography techniques for purification and analysis of the molecules. Basic immune-histochemistry techniques and ELISA assays.

3. Cell biology techniques and in vitro assay development for anti-cancer and anti-infective molecules under development.

4. Some experience in development of diagnostic assays like lateral flow, liquid biopsy and biosensor development will be desirable.

The candidate who might not have all the desired skills needs to have an open mind and develop the skills along the way by constant reading and experimentation. He/she will be expected to work in a multidisciplinary team and be involved in all the projects undertaken by the company.
