Job Description

As a Research Operations Analyst at Barclays, your primary focus will be to facilitate the authoring and distribution of Barclays Fixed Income and Equities research to institutional clients across various internal and third-party research platforms. The Research Operations team is spread across locations in London, New York, and Mumbai, providing global coverage. You will be involved in multiple research projects, business testing of authoring and distribution systems, and centrally managing all research-related employee and client entitlements. Key Responsibilities: - Continuously develop and maintain the existing Equities financial database, ensuring high-quality financial data for calculations, validations, industry-specific values, and forecast data throughout the publication lifecycle. - Train analysts and their teams to upload company financial data into the Financial Research database, creating upload and publication templates. - Facilitate on-demand changes to calculations and line items on a per-company basis, within sub-sectors and across regions. - Support the Research Production team regarding all financial data-related matters in product, feeds, and on Barclays Live, the client-facing portal. - Maintain data integrity between analysts" model data and system data by monitoring the system, generating reports regularly to eliminate errors or inconsistencies. Qualifications Required: - Experience with Research Operations Analyst role. - Good understanding of accounting, financial statements, and fundamental Equity Research valuation. - Equity Research and financial database management experience preferred. This role will be based in Mumbai. In addition to the specific responsibilities mentioned above, as a Research Operations Analyst at Barclays, you will be expected to: - Manage and execute processes to facilitate the production and delivery of Research products to clients. - Identify changes to systems and processes to continually improve delivery to internal stakeholders and clients. - Collaborate with Research Analysts, Management, and other stakeholders to drive improvements to processes and technology. - Adhere to the highest standards of risk management and controls, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. - Perform activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement. - Lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development. - Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you own or contribute to.
