Research & Development Team Lead (Backend)

As a Senior Software Engineer in Gurugram, India, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with Product, Design/UX, DevOps, and other R&D teams. You will lead an autonomous team of software engineers, working closely with product management to achieve business goals. Your primary focus will be on developing the team and providing technical authority by demonstrating a hands-on leadership style. You will be responsible for the overall design, development, architecture, code quality, and production environment deployment of your team. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience as a server-side developer using C# or any OOP Language, REST APIs, webhooks, and asynchronous communication with Queues/Streams (RabbitMQ and Kafka). Additionally, you should have 3+ years of experience with SQL (MSSQL/Oracle/MySql/PostgreSQL etc.), 2+ years experience with observability systems (Dynatrace, Grafana, etc.), and 3+ years of managerial experience, leading development of customer-facing products. Experience with messaging queues or streams such as RabbitMQ/SQS/Kafka, broad knowledge of OOP and design patterns, Microservices, and engineering best practices are also required. A Team player attitude and mentality, along with experience in writing unit tests, code reviews, testing coverage, and agile methodologies are essential. You should also be experienced and passionate about managing and growing people, ambitious, and eager to learn new things. A B.E / BS in computer science or an equivalent degree is required. Experience with Redis or alike, ORM such as Entity Framework, and building SaaS platforms in a cloud-based/hybrid environment would be a great advantage.
