Research Associate – Chemistry Department

Job Description

The Research Associate will support laboratory research activities including synthesis, characterization, and analysis of chemical compounds. The role includes conducting experiments, maintaining laboratory records, and assisting in method development and optimization under the guidance of senior scientists.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical synthesis, reactions, purification, and compound isolation.
• Conduct analytical testing using HPLC, GC, NMR, IR, UV, MS (as applicable).
• Document all experimental procedures and results in lab notebooks as per GLP.
• Assist in method development, optimization, and validation tasks.
• Prepare reagents, maintain laboratory equipment, and follow safety protocols.
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and present results to senior scientists.
• Support research projects such as API development, process optimization, or formulation chemistry (depending on department).

Skills Required

• Strong understanding of organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, or medicinal chemistry.
• Hands-on experience in laboratory techniques (titrations, chromatography, synthesis steps).
• Familiarity with analytical instruments (HPLC/GC/UV/NMR/IR).
• Good documentation, observation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs, safety procedures, and GLP standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
