The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping and executing strategies to accelerate the adoption of green technologies, sustainable practices and decarbonization efforts within MSMEs in the Telangana region. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, project management skills, stakeholder engagement abilities, and a passion for sustainability, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by MSMEs in their Clean transition. The manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including MSMEs, industry associations, government agencies, research institutions, and startups, with a focus on driving Clean Energy Transition of MSMEs in alignment with government programs like the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) program and other MoMSME schemes. This is a mission critical role and requires a very dedicated professional who is flexible, able to adapt to a dynamic work environment and strategically lead program activities related to Industrial Energy Transition. You would be reporting to the Director of Sustainability at RICH. Responsibilities: ● Strategy Development and Implementation: ○ Contribute to the development and implementation of regional strategies specifically targeted at facilitating energy transition and decarbonization within MSMEs, aligning with national and state-level policies and goals, including the objectives of the RAMP program. ○ Identify the specific challenges and opportunities faced by MSMEs in transitioning to cleaner energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and adopting sustainable practices. ○ Develop and manage programs and projects that promote the adoption of renewable energy, energy efficiency technologies, and other sustainable practices in MSMEs, with a focus on solutions that are scalable, affordable, and accessible to these enterprises. ● Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: ○ Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including MSME associations, individual MSME units, government agencies (especially those involved in MSME development), research institutions, technology providers, and financial institutions. ○ Facilitate dialogue and knowledge sharing among stakeholders, with a focus on addressing the specific needs and constraints of MSMEs in the energy transition process. ○ Organize and participate in workshops, seminars, conferences, and other events specifically tailored to raise awareness and promote best practices in energy transition for MSMEs. ● Project Management: ○ Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects related to the greening of MSMEs, ensuring timely completion and achievement of objectives, while adhering to the guidelines and goals of relevant programs. ○ Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively, with a focus on maximizing the impact of interventions for MSMEs. ○ Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans, especially considering the unique challenges faced by MSMEs. ○ Prepare project proposals, progress reports, and other relevant documentation, with a specific emphasis on documenting the impact on MSMEs. ● Innovation and Technology Promotion: ○ Identify and promote innovative technologies and business models that can accelerate energy transition in MSMEs, with a focus on solutions that are cost-effective, scalable, and easy to implement. ○ Support the development and deployment of clean energy solutions through pilot projects, demonstrations, and technology transfer initiatives targeted at MSMEs. ○ Facilitate connections between MSMEs and technology providers, startups, and research institutions, and promote the adoption of best practices. ● Policy Advocacy and Support: ○ Monitor and analyse relevant energy and climate policies at the local, state, and national levels, with a focus on their implications for MSMEs. ○ Provide input and recommendations to policymakers on measures to support industrial energy transition in MSMEs, including incentives, financing mechanisms, and technical assistance programs. ○ Advocate for policies and programs that create a favourable environment for the adoption of sustainable energy practices in MSMEs, aligning with initiatives like RAMP. ● Research and Analysis: ○ Conduct research and analysis on trends, policies, and technologies related to energy transition, with a focus on their applicability and affordability for MSMEs. ○ Identify and evaluate innovative solutions and best practices for decarbonizing industrial processes in MSMEs. ○ Assess the economic, environmental, and social impacts of energy transition initiatives on MSMEs, including factors like cost savings, productivity improvements, and market access. ○ Prepare reports, presentations, and policy briefs to inform decision-making, with specific recommendations for supporting MSME adoption of green technologies. ● Monitoring and Evaluation: ○ Develop and implement frameworks for monitoring and evaluating the impact of energy transition initiatives on MSMEs. ○ Collect and analyse data on key performance indicators, such as energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, cost savings, and productivity improvements, specifically within the MSME sector. ○ Prepare reports and recommendations based on evaluation findings to improve program effectiveness and ensure that interventions are meeting the needs of MSMEs.
