They are also responsible for setting up user systems and operating systems. Key Responsibilities 1. Responsible for day-to-day operations of mainframe computing facilities ensuring high availability including Mainframe Batch Event Monitoring & Scheduling, Mainframe Online transaction Failure Handling and Batch and first line closure of issues. 2. Responsible for Event management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Fulfillment and Knowledge Management adherence with ITSM framework 3. Acknowledge Tickets and conduct quick triage, provide solution and close the ticket within SLA; Ensure escalation of tickets to next level according to Prose within SLA time. 4. Analyze operation failures, determine root causes, develop and implement corrective actions for efficient recovery and improve system availability. 5. Identify system operational and performance problems, develop & implement solution. 6. To work with global teams and stakeholders including PDO, Customers, internal & external Auditors, and cross functional teams 7. Participate standup meeting on daily basis and discuss operational issues 8. Actively participate in the analysis and review of proposed system configuration changes/maintenance 9. Focus on Process adherence, process improvements, knowledge management and Problem Management 10. Support efforts on Security & Control processes and Audit comments 11. Support 24/7 operations & flexible timings, Global operations support 12. Excellent verbal & written communication skills 13. Support Automation through Scripts (JCL and Rexx) & RPA(Pega) 14. Co-ordinate with Console / Zos / Storage team and PDO teams to fine tune and improve any process. 15. Monitoring and Support of Mainframe Consoles. 16. Understands system alerts as fix them as per documentation provided. 17. Shutdown and IPL the systems upon request. 18. Perform system maintenance activities upon request. 19. Manage bridge calls during incidents.
