Job Description

As a Representative - Inside Sales, you will interact with existing customers to increase sales of the Company's products and/or services. Your main responsibilities will include obtaining, creating, and up-selling orders to enhance customer satisfaction and contribute value to their buying experience. Utilizing proactive selling techniques, you will focus on expanding the current book of accounts and collaborating with outside sales to achieve set goals. You will be responsible for obtaining orders through email and telephone calls, verifying and entering items, transferring orders to fulfillment, and addressing stock-outs and expected delivery dates. Additionally, you will work on increasing orders by recommending related items, explaining features, and reviewing customers" buying history. You will also take ownership of qualifying and developing opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts. In this role, you will identify areas for continuous process improvement, prepare and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders, and review open customer order reports to ensure timely delivery. It will be your duty to maintain distribution system backorder reports, handle customer expediting notices, and report industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management. Qualifications: - High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred - 2-4 years of experience in sales and sales administration - Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills - Ability to multitask effectively - Strong team player with excellent communication skills - Attention to detail and ability to prospect and market concepts - Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with general supervision - Willingness to travel up to 25% At Wesco, we are dedicated to building, connecting, powering, and protecting the world through our business-to-business distribution, logistics services, and supply chain solutions.
