As an individual with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 8 to 11 years of experience in the medium/heavy engineering fabrication industry, you will be expected to demonstrate a strong background in the field. Ideally, you will have significant expertise in managing bulk material handling equipment such as belt conveyors, diverters, gates & dampers, and feeders & trippers. Your role will involve overseeing the manpower management of at least 50 individuals, ensuring effective utilization of resources, and minimizing costs. You will be responsible for interpreting workshop/design drawings and job sheets, developing production schedules, and delegating tasks efficiently. A key aspect of your responsibilities will be to lead and mentor reporting employees, monitoring their performance and providing necessary training to ensure they understand targets and consistently meet delivery dates and quality requirements. Additionally, you will be required to devise long-term and short-term plans to enhance quality, boost production capacity, and reduce costs. Your duties will also include managing communication with supervisors, addressing fabrication process issues, implementing new tools and processes, and conducting root cause analyses to resolve production challenges. Furthermore, you will need to design production processes, plan materials for new products, and ensure optimal resource utilization. Collaboration with the work team, support in project deliveries, maintenance of a safe working environment, and adherence to quality standards throughout the fabrication process are essential aspects of this role. Your involvement in total productive maintenance programs, scheduling, and maintaining a clean workplace will be crucial in achieving operational efficiency. Overall, you will play a significant role in driving the success of the fabrication processes, ensuring compliance with timelines, and facilitating a productive and safe working environment for all team members. This is a full-time position requiring availability during day shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in an assistant manager role.
