Job Description

As a Reporting & Automation specialist, you will play a crucial role in analysing and interpreting complex datasets to support informed decision-making within our organization. Collaboration with various departments will be key as you provide valuable insights and recommendations derived from thorough data analysis. Your responsibilities will include collecting, analysing, and interpreting datasets to extract actionable business insights. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and visualizations utilizing Power BI. Data cleaning, validation, and transformation will be essential to uphold data quality and accuracy standards. Your proficiency in advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, analysis, and reporting, will be utilized to their full extent. Additionally, you will leverage tools such as RPA, Excel VBA, and Power Automate to automate data workflows and integrate applications, thereby enhancing overall efficiency and productivity. Identifying opportunities to optimize existing processes through automation tools and techniques will be a fundamental aspect of your role. You will also be expected to focus on enhancing data quality and reliability, while utilizing SQL queries to extract data from databases and preparing insightful presentations using PowerPoint for stakeholder communication. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand and address business requirements through analytical solutions will be a regular part of your work. Volunteer work and community initiatives that align with organizational goals will also be encouraged. In terms of technical skills, you should possess advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas. Experience with Power BI for creating dashboards and data visualizations, strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation, and proficiency in PowerPoint for presentations are also necessary. Regarding soft skills, excellent communication abilities, stakeholder engagement, community involvement, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are highly valued. Working collaboratively in a team environment is essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate would hold a Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, coupled with 2-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role. Demonstrated expertise in analysing data, providing actionable insights, managing projects, and meeting deadlines is required. Extensive experience with RPA, Excel VBA, and Power Automate for data manipulation and automation processes is essential. Hands-on experience with optimizing SQL queries and applications, as well as a deep understanding of data modeling, schemas, query optimization, and query performance monitoring tools, are crucial. Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in all deliverables will be key attributes of the successful candidate for this role.
