Reporting & Anchoring Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Reporting & Anchoring Professional who can manage field reporting, in-depth research, and anchoring. The candidate will be responsible for collecting news, conducting research and fact-checking, and presenting content confidently on various platforms. This role requires excellent communication, presence of mind, and a passion for delivering accurate and engaging news content.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Cover news stories, events, and breaking news on-ground and live.
• Conduct interviews and gather authentic information from relevant sources.
• Create video and photo content from the field to support news reports.
• Build and maintain reliable contacts for continuous news sourcing.
• Ensure accurate and ethical reporting while meeting deadlines.
• Conduct detailed research and fact-checking for news stories and programs.
• Gather credible data from reliable online and offline sources.
• Stay updated with current affairs, politics, social issues, and trending topics.
• Prepare research reports and briefs for the editorial and anchoring teams.
• Contribute story ideas and support script development.
• Present live news bulletins confidently and clearly.
• Host interviews, panel discussions, and talk shows professionally.
• Read and deliver scripts with accuracy and proper pronunciation.
• Handle breaking news situations with quick thinking and improvisation.
• Engage viewers by delivering news in an impactful and relatable manner.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Excellent presentation skills with on-camera confidence.
• Ability to multitask between reporting, research, and anchoring.
• Deep understanding of news, current affairs, and social issues.
• Knowledge of fact-checking tools and basic data analysis.
• Good research and investigative skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Team player with a professional and proactive attitude.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field (preferred).
• 1-2 years of experience in reporting, anchoring, or research will be an advantage.
• Freshers with strong skills and passion for journalism may also apply.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to travel for field reporting and cover stories at short notice.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and extended hours when required.
• Basic understanding of video editing and digital news platforms will be a plus.
